Multiple Louisiana State Parks to close ahead of Tropical Storm Francine
BATON ROUGE, La. – Effective at 5 p.m. today the following Louisiana State Parks will close ahead of the approaching severe weather impacts from Tropical Storm Francine. These parks will remain closed through Thursday, September 12, 2024.
- Bayou Segnette; Westwego, LA
- Bogue Chitto; Franklinton, LA
- Cypremort Point; Cypremort Point, LA
- Fairview-Riverside; Madisonville, LA
- Fontainebleau; Mandeville, LA
- Grand Isle; Grand Isle, LA
- Lake Fausse Pointe; St. Martinville, LA
- Palmetto Island; Abbeville, LA
- St. Bernard; Braithwaite, LA
- Tickfaw; Springfield, LA
After the severe weather threat has passed and park staff assess storm damage at the sites and we will provide an update on reopening.
All reservations during the closure are canceled. Guests affected by the cancellations will be notified regarding their options.
