Foster Caregiver Verification: DCRT-DCFS Annual Pass Application
The Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Office of State Parks (DCRT-OSP) partnered with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to offer verified DCFS caregivers of foster children free annual day-use permits. Annual day-use permits may be used at all state parks, state historic sites and Louisiana State Museums.
To receive the free annual day-use permit, caregivers must complete an annual permit application below and note their caregiver status. DCRT-OSP will verify that the Foster Caregiver is in good standing with DCFS and an Annual Permit will be issued and mailed to the address provided in the application. Annual permits are valid for one year. Upon expiration, a Foster Caregiver will need to submit a new application. Additionally, all people accompanying a Foster Caregiver permit holder will be admitted into the site free of charge.
